Slow Cooker Honey Chilli Chicken

Another fantastic easy meal and again would make a brilliant alternative to a weekend takeaway.

My suggestion with this meal is make it when your in the house the first time and keep your eye on it because there isnt much “sauce” in the slow cooker these kind of dishes can end up cooking very quickly. I have estimated approx 5 hrs on low but it may not take that long or it may take a bit longer its so difficult to say as not all slow cookers work at the same heat mine is a bit of a hottie with dishes like this.

I used chicken thigh which i think works so much better in the slow cooker however you can use chicken breast if you wish but leave it whole until the dish is fully cooked.

I have given some top tips with the sauce on this one they are in the card below again this is all down to personal preference and taste.

This recipe appears in my cookbook MY SLOW COOKER MEALS which is available on Amazon in Paperback & kindle press here https://amzn.eu/d/bxDzxmn

The slow cooker i use has an aluminium non stick inner, i have used this slow cooker for years now and highly recommend it, you can find it on my Amazon Shop press the link it will take you there then look under KITCHEN GADGETS https://www.amazon.co.uk/shop/julesthelazycook

    1. No hun cook the noodles separately. I use a bag of stir fry cook in a large frying pan sprayed with oil add a good dash of Soy sauce, once the noodles are cooked add them to the same pan as the stir fry mix then in add more soy sauce. I use Amoy straight to wok noodles but you can use whichever ones you like

    1. Hi hun so good to hear you enjoyed it, for syns it’s difficult as brands of sauces vary so get the ones you use look at the calories per tablespoon and use 20 cals = 2 syn so for example if it’s 25 cals per tablespoon then that’s 1 syn 30 cals per tbsp = 1.5 syns and so on this applies to all sauces xxx

    2. Hi, you said just chilli sauce but the Bros sugar free sauce is a sweet chilli sauce and, I assume, has sweetener in it.. is this correct? So the honey makes it even sweeter? I’m just concerned it will be too sweet with both..
